Confidentiality Statement

Confidentiality is a core part of our therapeutic relationship. What you share with me during sessions is treated with care, respect, and discretion.

Everything we discuss is kept confidential, with the following exceptions:

  • If I believe there is a serious risk of harm to you or someone else

  • If there is a legal obligation to disclose information (e.g. in relation to terrorism, money laundering, or a court order)

  • If I am required to consult with my clinical supervisor, in line with professional ethical standards – your identity is not shared, and supervision is for your benefit and safety

If I ever feel that I may need to break confidentiality for your safety or the safety of others, I will always aim to discuss this with you first wherever possible.

If you have any questions or concerns about confidentiality, please feel free to ask – I am happy to talk it through with you at any time.
